About the funder
The Evangelical Reconciliation Church Foundation at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial is a legally recognized foundation under civil law, supported by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and the Evangelical Church in Germany. It was established to secure and expand the commemorative work of the Reconciliation Church both substantively and in terms of personnel over the long term. The foundation finances, among other things, the support of survivors of Nazi persecution and their relatives, the accompaniment of school classes and visitor groups, free public events and exhibitions, as well as the project "Memory Book for the Prisoners of the Dachau Concentration Camp."

Mission & Vision
The foundation is committed to ensuring that the church's commemorative work for the victims of National Socialism maintains a firm place within both church and society. It promotes sustainable educational, memorial, and reconciliation initiatives at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial through income generated from the foundation's assets, encouraging people to learn from history for a democratic and dignified present.
Target groups
The foundation's funding measures are aimed at survivors of National Socialism and their relatives; school classes, visitor groups, and guests from around the world who visit the Dachau Memorial; projects and initiatives in the fields of remembrance and human rights work; organizations and volunteers, especially within the framework of the Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (ASF); as well as church and civil society partners engaged with the church's conduct during the Nazi era and with victims of discrimination and persecution today.
