About the funder
The Fachkräfte für Brandenburg Foundation is a legally established civil law foundation, supported since 2010 by the Potsdam Chamber of Industry and Commerce. It represents the interests of over 87,000 commercial enterprises in West Brandenburg to promote vocational education and the development of young people in the region. The foundation supports initiatives and projects that make the economy and entrepreneurial activity tangible, relying on cooperation with schools, companies, and other partners.

Mission & Vision
Under the guiding principle "Business Creates the Future," the Stiftung Fachkräfte für Brandenburg aims to fully harness the potential of young people and secure the next generation of skilled workers in the region. It initiates and supports projects in collaboration with businesses and educational institutions to strengthen entrepreneurial courage, enthusiasm for innovation, and social commitment. The foundation aligns itself with the principles of good foundation practice as set forth by the Association of German Foundations.
Target groups
The funding opportunities are aimed at all secondary schools, initiatives, and projects in West Brandenburg, as well as children, adolescents, and young professionals who work to better understand the economy and entrepreneurial activities. A special focus is placed on developing skills in the areas of STEM, media, digitalization, and business start-ups to prepare young people for a future-oriented working life.
