Stiftung Fliege

Private foundation

About the funder

The Stiftung Fliege was founded in 1997 by television pastor Jürgen Fliege and supports people who have fallen through all social safety nets. Through a network of parishes and spiritual institutions, it provides financial assistance and pastoral care. Between 1995 and 2023, the foundation awarded over €10.5 million to more than 3,400 people in need. Since 2010, the allocation of funds has no longer been made directly but through a fixed circle of local clergy.

Mission & Vision

Comfort and assistance are at the heart of our work. We build bridges to people in need by combining financial support with pastoral care. Our goal is to provide unbureaucratic aid to individual cases and to offer them new confidence through personal attention and care.

Target groups

The Fliege Foundation is aimed at needy, distressed, and vulnerable individuals both domestically and abroad who have fallen through statutory and social safety nets. Furthermore, it supports tax-privileged organizations that care for such individuals. Since 2025, funding applications are only processed through a designated group of clergy.
