About the funder
The Foundation for Cultural Continuing Education and Cultural Consulting (SKWK) is a state-owned foundation under public law based in Berlin. Since 2020, it has served as an umbrella organization for four initiatives – Diversity Arts Culture, Institute for Cultural Participation Research (IKTf), kultur_formen, and the music schools service center – and is committed to promoting greater equal opportunities and diversity within Berlin's cultural landscape. Funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion, SKWK advises, researches, and supports cultural actors, institutions, and projects to create equal access to art and culture.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to shape Berlin's cultural landscape in programming, personnel, and audience as diverse as our society already is. We advise cultural institutions and policymakers, support cultural education projects for young people, research the conditions of cultural participation, and provide training for cultural practitioners. In doing so, we emphasize anti-discriminatory practice, intersectional understanding, and accessible offerings.
Target groups
The SKWK targets children, adolescents, and young adults up to 27 years old who actively participate in cultural education projects; artists, independent groups, and cultural institutions in Berlin planning collaborations with educational or youth organizations; cultural administrations, educational providers, and political decision-makers developing diversity and participation strategies; as well as underrepresented actors in the cultural sector seeking empowerment and qualification.
