Stiftung Hospiz Oldenburg
About the funder
The Stiftung Hospiz Oldenburg operates the St. Peter Hospice in downtown Oldenburg, which includes an inpatient hospice, a partial inpatient day and night hospice, as well as comprehensive bereavement support and social services. The goal is to provide professionally high-quality, compassionate care for seriously ill and terminally ill individuals at the end of life, as well as support for their relatives. Funding is primarily provided through coverage by health and nursing insurance funds (95%) and donations for the remaining 5%. The foundation is also the sponsor of the Hospice Shop and promotes volunteer work and public relations.

Mission & Vision
"Living until the end." We enable people with life-limiting illnesses to live a self-determined, dignified life until the very end – regardless of origin, culture, religion, or nationality. Our work is founded on compassion, professional expertise, and the commitment that the terminally ill and their families are not left alone in challenging times.
Target groups
The Stiftung Hospiz Oldenburg is aimed at terminally ill individuals whose home care is no longer feasible, as well as at persons requiring temporary relief care and support in the day and night hospice. It also supports relatives and close persons through grief counseling and social service advice, and addresses volunteers interested in supporting hospice work.
