About the funder
The Stiftung Jugend musiziert Niedersachsen is a legally recognized foundation under civil law with the purpose of further supporting outstanding young musical talents from Lower Saxony following their successful participation in the regional and national "Jugend musiziert" competitions. Its headquarters and office are located in Bremen (Upstalsboom 12). The foundation supports young musicians through scholarships, study stays, ensemble formation, chamber music lessons, assistance with instrument acquisition, coverage of travel expenses, sound recordings, as well as grants and organization of masterclasses and concerts. Regular funding activities include award ceremonies within the framework of special concerts, performances with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, and the masterclass "epochef international" with the Ensemble Modern.

The Stiftung Jugend musiziert Niedersachsen is dedicated with great commitment to the sustainable promotion of outstanding musical talents from Lower Saxony. Its guiding principle is to provide young prizewinners of the "Jugend musiziert" competition with the best possible individual support during a formative phase of their artistic development and to offer them a wide range of support measures, from scholarships to masterclasses.
Target groups
Young instrumentalists and singers up to the age of 20 (up to 26 years in the singing category) who have achieved outstanding results in the state or national competition of Jugend musiziert are supported. The target group includes first and second prize winners as well as ensembles that demonstrate exceptional competition success and whose further artistic development requires targeted support.
