About the funder

The Karpatendeutsche Cultural Heritage Foundation was established on October 8, 2004, at Munich City Hall by the four Carpathian German organizations and the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, and presentation of the cultural heritage of the Carpathian Germans from Slovakia. The foundation supports the Carpathian German Cultural Association Slovakia e. V. in Karlsruhe–Durlach – a central location for the museum, library, and archive – and ensures the long-term financing of full-time specialists through endowments to manage and make the collections accessible to the interested public.
