About the funder
The Kinderglück Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Holzwickede (Dortmund/Ruhr area). Founded by Susanne and Bernd Krispin, it has pursued long-term aid projects for disadvantaged and neglected children and adolescents since 2019. Through self-financed and donation-based programs—including the school backpack project, the KiTaletics movement program, holiday sponsorships, Kinderglück cushions, bicycle project, and cultural participation—the foundation reaches over 10,000 children annually, particularly in the Ruhr area. It also acts as a network partner for youth welfare offices, clinics, and independent organizations to address needs directly and without bureaucracy.

Mission & Vision
The Kinderglück Foundation advocates for children and adolescents whose journey into the world begins with stumbling – due to poverty, illness, or trauma. It is guided by children's rights, particularly equality of opportunity and social participation, and implements its own aid projects. Through close cooperation with youth welfare offices, clinics, youth support institutions, and volunteers, the foundation ensures that assistance reaches those affected directly and has a lasting impact.
Target groups
Disadvantaged and neglected children and adolescents are supported, especially in the Ruhr area and Dortmund, who are affected by poverty, illness, or trauma. The foundation assists both individual children and groups and cooperates with social organizations, clinics, and educational institutions. The goal is to create equal opportunities and enable social participation through concrete projects.
