Founded in 2001 by pediatric nurses from the Hauner Children's Hospital, the foundation offers nursing-supported recreational stays for chronically ill and disabled children and their families at the Irmengard-Hof on Lake Chiemsee. The aim is psychosocial aftercare, exchange of experiences among those affected, and relief for these families through professional nursing support and an educational-psychological framework program.

Mission & Vision
The Kleine Helden Foundation is committed to providing strength, comfort, and community to chronically ill and disabled children and their families in a carefree environment. Through care-supported stays at the Irmengard Farm, we offer these "little heroes" a ray of hope in their often challenging daily lives and promote their resilience and quality of life.
Target groups
The services of the Kleine Helden Foundation are aimed at chronically ill and multiply disabled children as well as their parents and siblings, particularly children with rare or little publicly recognized medical conditions. These include, among others, children with tracheostomies, chronic gastrointestinal diseases (e.g., short bowel syndrome), anorectal malformations, feeding via gastrostomy or specialized tubes, multiple disabilities, severe metabolic disorders, and rare or unclear diagnoses.
