Stiftung Kloster Zella

The Stiftung Kloster Zella was established by the Evangelische Heimstätte Kloster Zella e.V. in cooperation with the Mühlhausen church district to sustainably preserve the listed monastery complex in Struth, Thuringia. The foundation primarily supports structural measures for the preservation and tradition-conscious use of the monastery buildings, promotes socially and Christian-diaconally oriented projects, and opens up the complex to the public through scientific research and information.

The Stiftung Kloster Zella is committed to the permanent preservation and further development of the historic buildings of the monastery. It promotes monument conservation projects, supports charitable initiatives with a social and Christian focus, and aims to convey the significance of the Zella Monastery in its cultural, religious, and regional history through research and public relations.

The Stiftung Kloster Zella is aimed at communities and organizations committed to monument preservation and church-diaconal projects, at seniors living in the residential facility, as well as at pilgrims and visitors to the monastery complex. Funding is provided for measures that enable the traditional use of the buildings while offering residents and guests an appealing, barrier-free environment.
