Mission & Vision

The foundation exclusively pursues objectives related to nature conservation and landscape management. It contributes to preserving, maintaining, and further developing the traditional cultural landscape of Lower Saxony – in close cooperation with agriculture and private landowners. Voluntary nature conservation and economically viable land use are to be harmonized in this process.

Target groups

Funding is primarily provided to private landowners, farmers, and agricultural enterprises in rural areas of Lower Saxony. Hunting cooperatives as well as non-profit organizations managing nature conservation projects are also eligible for funding. The geographical focus is on the entire federal state of Lower Saxony. A prerequisite is usually co-financing by the applicants.
