Founded in 2001 in close collaboration with the Kurt Lehmann Circle of Friends and the artist's family, it pursues exclusively charitable purposes. The foundation's primary task is the preservation and safeguarding of the complete artistic oeuvre of Professor Kurt Lehmann at his place of work. Furthermore, the foundation promotes art and culture in general, particularly through exhibitions, loans, and the art prize awarded every three years. Proceeds from the sale of replicas of his sculptures are invested in supporting young talent and maintaining the complete body of work.
