About the funder

The Stiftung Landerziehungsheim Neubeuern is a non-profit foundation established in 1948 on the initiative of former students together with the heiress Marie-Therese Miller von Degenfeld-Schonburg. It continues the country boarding school founded in 1925 at Neubeuern Castle and operates there a boarding gymnasium as well as a day school for students from both domestic and international backgrounds. The foundation is responsible for the educational, academic, and financial direction of the school, supported by a board of trustees, and also promotes international exchange programs, scholarship funds, as well as cultural and social projects.

Mission & Vision

We believe in a holistic, value-oriented education in which knowledge, character development, and community spirit are inseparably connected. Regardless of origin, social status, or religion, we promote independent thinking, mindfulness, openness, and tradition. Our goal is to nurture young people into strong, responsible individuals who know what needs to be done and are ready to make a positive contribution to society.

Target groups

Our funding programs are aimed at students from grades 5 to 12 who wish to live and learn in a value-oriented community. We welcome young people of all nationalities and backgrounds who are curious, show enthusiasm for learning, and want to develop in a boarding or day school environment. Talents who would otherwise have limited access to private education are especially supported through scholarship programs.
