About the funder
The Stiftung Musikfreunde Kiel is a non-profit foundation established in 2021, with its capital stock currently being developed. Its goal is to realize projects in the long term that promote classical music life in Kiel and the surrounding region. Even today, the foundation exemplarily supports student and youth concerts, children’s and youth events, as well as initial programs for the promotion of gifted individuals. The foundation’s board acts on a voluntary basis and decides on the use of funds in accordance with the statutes.

Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Musikfreunde Kiel aims to preserve the musical heritage and inspire future generations for classical music. Through the sustainable establishment of a capital fund, lasting returns are to be generated for targeted support projects. We believe that early encounters with music facilitate access for children and young people and thus secure the audience of tomorrow.
Target groups
Our funding programs are aimed at students and schools wishing to attend concerts, children and young people for whom age-appropriate music offerings are created, as well as highly gifted young musicians. In addition, the general audience of classical concerts in Kiel and the surrounding area benefits from new, innovative formats.
