Stiftung Praunheimer Werkstätten

The Stiftung Praunheimer Werkstätten was founded in 2000 to provide long-term and reliable support for people with intellectual disabilities. As a private law, non-profit foundation, it collects endowments and donations, holds assets in the seven-figure range, and uses exclusively the proceeds to support Praunheimer Werkstätten gGmbH (pw°) in Frankfurt am Main. Its main areas of work include promoting cultural offerings such as painting studios, writing workshops, theater and music projects, financing new workshop and residential buildings, as well as accompanying measures such as leisure and holiday programs.

The Stiftung Praunheimer Werkstätten contributes to improving the participation and self-determination of people with intellectual disabilities. Through continuous asset building and project-based funding, it ensures the sustainable support of cultural, artistic, and life-world-related offerings of pw°. Our goal is to promote inclusion by providing spaces and resources where the creativity and potential of those supported can fully develop.

The foundation's funding programs are aimed at people with intellectual disabilities who live and work in the facilities of Praunheimer Werkstätten gGmbH (pw°). This includes employees of the workshops, residents of residential care homes, and users of day care centers. Support is provided especially to those who wish to participate in artistic and cultural projects or require special assistance and leisure activities.
