About the funder
The Stiftung Presseclub Dresden is a legal foundation under civil law based in Dresden. It was established by the Presseclub Dresden e. V. and pursues exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the German Tax Code. Its main tasks are the promotion of tolerance, humanity, and international understanding, particularly through the biennial awarding of the Erich Kästner Prize by the Presseclub Dresden e. V., the support of young journalists, as well as the earmarked allocation of funds to tax-privileged organizations to support youth welfare, sports, arts, culture, and people in need. The foundation’s capital remains intact, and income is used directly to fulfill the foundation’s objectives.
