Stiftung Prof. Joachim Lenz
About the funder
The Prof. Joachim Lenz Foundation was established in 2003 by the Institute for Pipeline Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg e.V. and was renamed in 2019 to "Professor Joachim Lenz Foundation for the Promotion of Advanced and Continuing Education of Foreign University Graduates." It continues the vision of its namesake by supporting young university graduates from Eastern Europe and now worldwide, typically for one-year professional training internships in German companies. The foundation maintains close cooperation with universities, professors, and companies both domestically and internationally. It arranges, supervises, and supports interns to enhance their professional and intercultural skills and to build long-term network relationships between Germany and their countries of origin.

Mission & Vision
The Prof. Joachim Lenz Foundation supports the advanced training and continuing education of international university graduates through high-quality, practice-oriented internships in German companies. The goal is to strengthen intercultural understanding, establish personal networks, and engage young professionals as multipliers for knowledge transfer and economic cooperation.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at university graduates – particularly in engineering and related technical fields – from Eastern Europe and worldwide. A successfully completed degree (with at least a satisfactory grade) as well as sufficient German language skills to independently complete an internship in Germany are required. In parallel, partner companies offering internship positions and benefiting from the international contacts are engaged.
