About the funder
The Stiftung Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim Köln is a trust foundation based in Cologne, established in 2007 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim e.V. It was supplemented in 2011 by the Annemarie and Norbert Burger Foundation. The foundation supports work with children, youth, adults, and the elderly, and ensures the long-term financing of the social work of the Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim e.V. in Cologne, which was founded in 1947 by English Quakers. Well-known programs include daycare centers, open-door initiatives, intergenerational meeting places, and educational support services.

Mission & Vision
The goal is to secure our work for future generations. The Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim e.V. operates according to the core values of voluntariness, self-determination, social learning, and community, as well as non-violence, openness, and honesty – creating social balance together.
Target groups
The foundation supports projects and services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, particularly in the Cologne districts of Innenstadt and Ehrenfeld. It funds initiatives of the Quäker Nachbarschaftsheim e.V. as well as social projects for people from diverse cultural backgrounds, including refugees and disadvantaged population groups.
