About the funder
The Stiftung Sächsischer Architekten is a legal foundation under civil law based in Dresden. It was initiated by the Saxony Chamber of Architects to promote building culture in the Free State of Saxony. Its tasks include collecting, preserving, and conveying architectural legacies and documents, awarding scholarships and sponsorship prizes, organizing events and exhibitions, as well as publishing publications. Since 2019, the foundation's archive, containing the holdings of significant Saxon architects, has been housed as a deposit in the Dresden City Archive.

Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Sächsischer Architekten is committed to promoting building culture, general education, as well as art, culture, and science in the fields of architecture and urban planning in the Free State of Saxony. It supports education and young professionals in the disciplines of architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning.
Target groups
Funding is provided to architects, urban planners, interior and landscape architects, as well as actors in the building culture in Saxony. In addition, the program is aimed at students, young professionals, and researchers engaged in architectural mediation, research, and publications in the fields of architecture and urban planning.
