About the funder

The St. Antonius Foundation of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising is a church foundation under public law, established on October 25, 1997. Its mission is to sustainably promote the ministry of charity (diakonia) to others. To this end, the foundation provides annual proceeds in the form of operating funds, grants, and real estate. It supports works and institutions of charity within the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising that assist and care for people in need—particularly individuals with physical, mental, or emotional disabilities.

Mission & Vision

The mission of the St. Antonius Foundation is to ensure the long-term support of service to the poor and needy in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising, independent of fluctuating church tax revenues. By providing buildings, operating subsidies, and additional resources, the foundation aims to strengthen church welfare services and practically realize charity in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
