It was founded on the initiative of Georgsmarienhütte GmbH and its owner Dr. Jürgen Großmann to continue corporate responsibility through lasting social, educational, and cultural-political commitment. Mission & Vision

The Stiftung Stahlwerk Georgsmarienhütte is committed to assuming responsibility for the common good arising from economic success. Its goal is to permanently consolidate and strengthen social, cultural, and educational-political engagement. By promoting education, research, culture, and social projects, the foundation contributes to fostering successful coexistence in the Osnabrück region and beyond, as well as sustainably supporting people in various life situations.

Target groups

This includes scientific institutions and research projects, students, doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers, schools and universities, cultural institutions (museums, theaters, orchestras), charitable and social organizations, sports clubs, youth and elderly care facilities, as well as initiatives for development cooperation and international understanding.
