About the funder
The Stiftung Sternenstaub was founded in 2008 by Dr. Jürgen Todenhöfer in Munich. Under the motto "Giving Joy of Life," it is locally committed to single and needy senior citizens as well as refugee children and people in need. Internationally, the small team especially supports women and children in war and crisis areas with projects such as orphanages, schools, prosthetic care, and rescue measures. The goal is to promote quality of life and confidence through direct aid and sustainable educational and recreational offerings.

Mission & Vision
"Giving the joy of life" – The Stiftung Sternenstaub aims to make the world a better place for individual fellow human beings and to give them confidence. It believes in the power of personal encounters and practical assistance to offer hope and perspective to people in need in Germany and worldwide.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at senior citizens in Munich who experience loneliness and need; refugee children and families in urban shelters who require support and cultural participation; children and adolescents with a migration or refugee background who benefit from school-based German language support and integration services; as well as women and children in war and crisis zones (e.g., Afghanistan, Congo, Iraq, Syria) who depend on humanitarian aid, education, shelter, and medical care.
