About the funder
The Stiftung Thüringer Sporthilfe is a public foundation at the state level that has supported talented junior and elite athletes from Thuringia since 1997. It manages the foundation’s capital, acquires additional financial resources and in-kind donations, and distributes the proceeds in accordance with the funding guidelines. As a supplementary funding institution within the Thuringian sports promotion system, it acts as a service provider for athletes in Olympic and Paralympic disciplines.

Mission & Vision
The Thüringer Sporthilfe Foundation supports Thuringian athletes from "talent to Olympic champion/world champion" and provides them with sustainable financial and non-material assistance. It cooperates with associations, clubs, and public institutions to ensure long-term stable funding programs for youth development, follow-up squads, and support circle measures.
Target groups
Thuringian junior and elite athletes competing in an Olympic or Paralympic discipline for a Thuringian sports club are supported. A prerequisite is at least a third-place finish at German youth or junior championships or participation in junior world or European championships. Para-sports are fully and equally integrated.
