About the funder
The Environmental and Nature Conservation Foundation Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is a public-law foundation of the state that has been committed since 1994 to the preservation and development of near-natural habitats in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It acquires and manages around 8,500 hectares of valuable land – from moors and forests to wet meadows – and supports projects in environmental education, landscape management, and research. With its own projects such as LIFE Limicodra and numerous cooperative initiatives, the foundation contributes to the protection of biodiversity, climate protection, and sustainable land use.
