About the funder
The Stiftung Umwelt und Schadenvorsorge of SV SparkassenVersicherung Building Insurance, based in Stuttgart, is a legally recognized foundation under civil law, established in the anniversary year 1998 and endowed with foundation capital of EUR 2.05 million. Its main tasks include the promotion of scientific work and events, the awarding of scholarships within the framework of the doctoral program "Environment and Damage Prevention" at the Universities of Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, the announcement of young researcher awards, the support of topic-relevant lecture series and workshops, as well as the organization of biennial symposia on natural hazards.

Mission & Vision

Supported are research projects, project and event planning, as well as doctoral theses related to Baden-Württemberg with a thematic focus on environmental protection and damage prevention.
