About the funder
STIFTUNG WELTEN VERBINDEN was founded in 2006 by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and the Diaconal Work of Bavaria to close financial gaps in migration work. The foundation supports projects and initiatives that strengthen understanding between people shaped by different cultural and/or religious backgrounds, implement integrative offerings in church congregations, promote adult and family education, and empower individuals to identify and pursue their own interests. Furthermore, it provides assistance to individuals in emergency situations when their integration is seriously at risk.

Target groups
The funding programs of the STIFTUNG WELTEN VERBINDEN are aimed at institutions, initiatives, and individuals engaged in migration and integration work in Bavaria. Supported are associations, church congregations, and non-profit organizations that actively promote intercultural understanding, as well as individuals who might be excluded from further integration due to sudden emergencies. The focus is on projects that create spaces for encounter and impart skills for social participation.
