About the funder
The Stiftung Wohlfahrtspflege Brandenburg was established on June 18, 2000, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Paritätischer Landesverband Brandenburg. It primarily promotes democracy and participation within the association and in the state of Brandenburg. Its main tasks include reflecting on and further developing the culture of participation in the institutions of member organizations, addressing social changes and democratic challenges, as well as implementing the participation rights of children and youth in municipalities, in educational support services, and in the state's sustainability policy.

Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Wohlfahrtspflege Brandenburg is committed to strengthening social and democratic coexistence in Brandenburg. It aims to give a voice to the disadvantaged, further develop participation structures, and sustainably promote democratic culture within the institutions of its member organizations as well as at the municipal level. Openness, diversity, and tolerance form the guiding principles of the association's actions.
Target groups
The foundation targets actors in welfare and social services in Brandenburg, particularly the member organizations of the Paritätischer State Association and their institutions. It supports municipalities, providers of child and youth welfare, as well as professionals in the development of participation processes. A special focus is placed on promoting the participation rights of children and young people in various social fields of action.
