About the funder
The World Future Council Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Hamburg that advocates for a healthy, sustainable coexistence in just and peaceful societies. It identifies future-oriented policy solutions worldwide, promotes their implementation, and awards outstanding laws and measures every two years with the Future Policy Award. The foundation is supported by up to 50 council members from politics, business, science, and culture from all continents.

Mission & Vision
Our mission is to develop and promote effective, sustainable policy solutions in the interest of present and future generations to address global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, social inequality, and nuclear disarmament. We foster dialogue between politics, civil society, and science, and celebrate successful examples with our unique Future Policy Award.
Target groups
The funding work of the World Future Council Foundation is aimed at political decision-makers, parliamentary networks, and legislators worldwide, as well as civil society actors, youth organizations, and experts, to support them in the development and implementation of sustainable policies and to disseminate global best practices.
