Stiftung zukunftsfähige Südwestpfalz

The Stiftung zukunftsfähige Südwestpfalz is a non-independent foundation under the umbrella of the Bürgerstiftung Pfalz, based in Dahn. It was established from the inheritance of Anni and Frieder Schwitzgebel and pursues charitable purposes in accordance with the German Fiscal Code. Its mission is to promote science, education, youth and elderly care, culture, environmental and nature conservation, as well as healthcare in Pirmasens and the Südwestpfalz region. The focus is on supporting innovative ideas, scientific projects, and business start-ups that create new, qualified jobs in the long term and enhance the quality of life in the region. Additionally, the foundation awards scholarships and grants for training, studies, as well as further education and professional development of young talents.

Under the motto "Tomorrow already begins today," the Stiftung zukunftsfähige Südwestpfalz is committed to shaping the Südwestpfalz region as a sustainable living and working environment. It supports innovative projects and business startups, creates qualified jobs, and assists young people with their studies and vocational training. The goal is a vibrant, economically strong, and livable region where talents are nurtured and community is strengthened.

The funding programs are aimed at non-profit initiatives, companies, and individuals from the Südwestpfalz region who seek to create new jobs and improve the region's image through innovative projects or startup ventures. Additionally, students, apprentices, and young professionals from the region are supported with scholarships and grants for their studies, vocational training, and further education.
