About the funder
The Stiftung zukunftsfähige Südwestpfalz is a non-independent foundation under the umbrella of the Bürgerstiftung Pfalz, based in Dahn. It was established from the inheritance of Anni and Frieder Schwitzgebel and pursues charitable purposes in accordance with the German Fiscal Code. Its mission is to promote science, education, youth and elderly care, culture, environmental and nature conservation, as well as healthcare in Pirmasens and the Südwestpfalz region. The focus is on supporting innovative ideas, scientific projects, and business start-ups that create new, qualified jobs in the long term and enhance the quality of life in the region. Additionally, the foundation awards scholarships and grants for training, studies, as well as further education and professional development of young talents.
