About the funder
The Freemason Foundation "Zum Schwarzen Bär" is an independent foundation supported by brothers of the eponymous Johannis Freemason lodge in Hanover. Since its establishment in 2000, it has been dedicated to promoting tolerance, international understanding, and humanity. Inspired by the legacy of Brother Hermann Lange, the foundation was created to provide financial and moral support to individuals and institutions committed to humanity and social cohesion. In recent years, projects have been funded in the areas of violence prevention and integration in schools, support for families and children in crisis situations, promotion of youth projects, culture and education, as well as social aid projects for disadvantaged people.
