About the funder

The Meißen Savings Bank Foundation was established in 1998 on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of its founder, the Kreissparkasse Meißen. Its purpose is the financial and professional support of projects in the fields of child and youth welfare, social affairs, sports, and culture in the Meißen district. The foundation sees itself not only as a financier but also as a center of expertise that advises non-profit project sponsors as well as cultural and sports institutions in order to strengthen social life and cultural diversity in the region in the long term.

Mission & Vision

Our goal is to promote community cohesion and quality of life in the Meißen district. We primarily support charitable projects for children, youth, and socially disadvantaged groups, as well as initiatives in the fields of sports and culture. We place great importance on sustainable impact and regional identity. We believe in the power of collective initiative and aim to make local engagement visible and meaningfully supported.

Target groups

Only project proposals from non-profit organizations, associations, and institutions active in the Meißen district are supported. Eligible applicants are entities from the fields of child and youth welfare, social institutions, sports clubs, and cultural initiatives. Projects abroad are not funded. The foundation supports initiatives that provide a tangible added value to the regional community and contribute to strengthening social cohesion.
