Mission & Vision
The ZURÜCKGEBEN Foundation supports Jewish women of all ages and backgrounds in Germany to make their artistic and scholarly projects visible and to strengthen them. It understands its work as a symbolic restitution in light of the injustices of the Nazi era and as a contribution to the preservation and renewal of Jewish life in its diversity. The foundation expressly commits itself against antisemitism in accordance with Bundestag resolution 19/10191 and the IHRA definition.
Target groups
Jewish women residing and working in Germany are eligible for funding, regardless of age or community membership. They may be active in film, literature, dance, visual arts, music, cultural and social sciences, history, economics, physics, and related disciplines. The target group includes individuals and project groups addressing contemporary Jewish topics and aiming to contribute to cultural diversity and the culture of remembrance.
