The Studienstiftung ius vivum is a legally recognized foundation under private law with its statutory seat in Dormagen (North Rhine-Westphalia) and its administrative seat in Schierensee (Schleswig-Holstein). Founded in 1991 by Prof. Dr. Haimo Schack, it promotes science on a non-profit basis in the fields of Civil Law, International Private and Civil Procedural Law, Comparative Law, Copyright Law, and Business Law. The foundation supports outstanding dissertations, habilitation theses, and young researchers through scholarships and financial grants for conferences, excursions, and stays abroad.

Mission & Vision
The mission of the Studienstiftung ius vivum is to create idealistic and material incentives to inspire a passion for advanced legal research.
