About the funder

StudienStiftungSaar is a non-profit foundation based in Saarbrücken that has been supporting young talents in Saarland since 2010. It awards over 5,000 scholarships (including more than 1,800 Saarland Scholarships and over 3,200 Germany Scholarships) and distributes more than €10 million in funding. In addition to financial support, it offers ideal accompaniment through workshops, seminars, coaching sessions, and networking events in cooperation with universities, businesses, foundations, and public institutions. Programs such as FutureCoaching+ for prospective students, the Glückauf Scholarship with a mining focus, and the BestJuraSaar mentoring program highlight the wide-ranging offerings.

Mission & Vision

As the umbrella brand TalentRegionSaar, StudienStiftungSaar is committed to educational and structural transformation in Saarland. It supports young people from school to university and career, promotes their professional and personal skills through individual counseling and certified talent diagnostics, and connects them with relevant stakeholders from academia, business, and politics. The goal is to nurture high potentials, secure skilled professionals, and retain talents in the Saarland region for the long term.

Target groups

The funding programs of StudienStiftungSaar are aimed at students at the five universities in Saarland (Saarland University, htw saar, HBKsaar, HfM Saar, DHfPG) for the Deutschlandstipendium and SaarlandStipendium, prospective students and upper secondary school pupils who wish to discover their strengths and develop study and career perspectives through FutureCoaching+ and thematic workshops, as well as alumni and sponsors who contribute to the idealistic and financial support as mentors, partners, or donors. Furthermore, the foundation addresses companies, foundations, institutions, and private individuals who take responsibility for education and invest in early talent promotion.
