Mission & Vision
We see ourselves as the central specialist authority for agriculture, horticulture, and rural development in Thuringia. As a center of expertise and funding, a supervisory authority, and a service provider, we support farmers, gardeners, municipalities, and stakeholders in rural areas. We create the framework conditions for environmentally and resource-friendly production of healthy food and promote regional economic cycles. Based on applied research, we provide practical advice to our target groups and advance digitalization as well as innovative technologies in agriculture and horticulture. Our actions are based on law and legislation, political directives, and the principle of citizen proximity.
Target groups
The TLLLR targets its services at farmers and gardeners in Thuringia, municipalities and regional actors in rural areas, participants in agricultural and horticultural initial, advanced, and continuing education, as well as research and educational institutions and those interested in agricultural and environmental topics.
