The Tierschutzstiftung Bochum is a non-profit foundation under civil law that has been committed to the protection of native wild and domestic animals in the Ruhr area since its recognition in 2006. It provides permanent and sustainable funding to animal protection associations, environmental education projects, and volunteer initiatives in Bochum, Hattingen, and the surrounding area. The foundation manages an endowment capital of €100,000 and uses the proceeds as well as additional donations responsibly and transparently in accordance with its statutory purpose.
