Tucher'sche Kulturstiftung

The Tucher Cultural Foundation is a non-profit, private family foundation based in Nuremberg, established in 2012. It preserves the over 700-year cultural heritage of the patrician Tucher family – including art objects, archival materials, and photographs – and makes it accessible to the public. The foundation supports research projects on the history, art, and everyday culture of the family, organizes exhibitions and workshops in cooperation with museums and universities, and offers digital educational formats such as a blog, podcast, and social media channels.

The Tucher Cultural Foundation pursues the mission "Preserve – Research – Communicate": Preserve by maintaining and caring for the collection of artworks and archives of the Tucher family; Research through independent and collaborative scholarly projects on the history of the patrician family and urban societal contexts; Communicate by providing public access via exhibitions, publications, blog posts, podcasts, and social media.

The offerings of the Tucher Cultural Foundation are aimed at museums, research institutions, art and cultural historians, as well as students and the public interested in cultural heritage. The foundation supports scholars through calls for papers, workshops, and fellowships, assists partner institutions as a lender, and reaches a broad audience with digital formats.
