About the funder
UBports Foundation is a legally recognized civil law foundation based in Berlin. It promotes the development and dissemination of free and open-source software (FOSS) for mobile devices based on open standards. Its goal is to build a sustainable, independent, and meritocratic international community that further develops the mobile operating system Ubuntu Touch as well as related services and applications, and provides them free of charge. The foundation supports educational and research projects in the field of computer science, encourages civic engagement, and advocates for the benefits of FOSS in business, administration, and society.
