The UG Foundation – Ulrich Gschwender Foundation, Bodelsberg, is a legally recognized public foundation under civil law based in Bodelsberg (municipality of Durach, district of Oberallgäu). Founded in 2012 by Ulrich and Rosa Gschwender with an initial capital of three million euros, the non-profit institution is dedicated to financing and sustainably maintaining the extension building, including the day care facility of the Durach Senior Center, as well as supporting charitable projects and initiatives. The foundation manages the property through the Senior Center Service GmbH Durach and generates income by renting out 24 residential units to continuously fulfill its statutory objectives.

Mission & Vision
The UG Foundation is committed to doing good sustainably: it maintains the Senior Center Durach with its real estate assets, supports charitable projects in the region and beyond, and promotes education and culture as opportunities for future generations. Since its founding, we have placed great importance on transparency, professional asset management, and continuous audits by independent auditors. Our activities are conducted under the foundation supervision of the Government of Swabia.
Target groups
Our funding activities are primarily directed towards the Senior Center Durach (maintenance and expansion of the facility), charitable social initiatives and projects in the Allgäu region, as well as educational institutions and cultural organizations that contribute to the sustainable development of young people.
