Urschelstiftung – Bürger für Nagold

The Urschelstiftung – Citizens for Nagold is a legal civic foundation under civil law based in Nagold. It was established to promote civic engagement and, in particular, to support social, cultural, and ecological concerns of the city of Nagold. The foundation sees itself as a community institution by citizens for citizens and, according to its statutes, covers the areas of education and upbringing, youth and elderly assistance, culture, art and monument preservation, environmental and nature conservation, integration and international understanding, as well as local heritage preservation. It finances its grants from the proceeds of the foundation’s capital and incoming donations and awards project funding, subsidies, and scholarships to local initiatives and organizations that pursue the foundation’s objectives.

The Urschel Foundation – Citizens for Nagold is dedicated to the sustainable development of civic engagement in Nagold. Our goal is to strengthen intergenerational coexistence and the sense of community within a democratically constituted society. We support projects and initiatives that go beyond the regular duties of municipal administration and create added value for the social, cultural, and ecological life in Nagold.

The funding programs of the Urschel Foundation are aimed at non-profit initiatives, associations, and individuals with projects in Nagold. Target groups include especially children, youth, seniors, volunteers, and local organizations active in the fields of education, youth and elderly care, culture, environmental and nature conservation, integration, as well as heritage preservation, who seek to improve the quality of life in Nagold.
