Vereinigte Kirchen- und Klosterkammer – Stiftung öffentlichen Rechts

The Vereinigte Kirchen- und Klosterkammer Erfurt is a traditional public law foundation based in the state capital of Thuringia. It was established in 1947 through the consolidation of 15 individual foundations and funds, whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. As an independent legal entity, it preserves valuable ecclesiastical cultural heritage, manages properties, generates income through leases and hereditary building rights, and allocates these funds for preservation, maintenance, and charitable purposes.

"Following the founders' will – committed to the future." The United Church and Monastery Chamber is dedicated to sustainably preserving the cultural and ecclesiastical heritage and to promoting charitable, diaconal, and social welfare projects with its proceeds.

Eligible to apply are church congregations, church districts, as well as ecclesiastical and diaconal institutions within the territory of the Free State of Thuringia. The Chamber supports measures for the repair and preservation of church buildings, cultural projects, as well as social and diaconal initiatives that correspond to the founder's mandate.
