About the funder
The Versicherungskammer Foundation was established in 2011 to mark the 200th anniversary of Versicherungskammer Bayern. It supports projects that contribute to enhancing safety and social cohesion. The focus areas include saving lives and accident prevention, prevention (fire protection, crime prevention), traffic safety, as well as strengthening civic engagement and the social responsibilities of fire brigades. The foundation initiates impulses, facilitates cooperation, and provides space for dialogue and discourse.

Mission & Vision
The Versicherungskammer Foundation aims to enhance the safety of all citizens and strengthen social cohesion. It supports sustainable projects in the areas of volunteer work, civil courage, hazard prevention, life-saving, youth education, traffic safety, and fire protection. To this end, it promotes innovative initiatives, creates opportunities for cooperation, and fosters the recognition of voluntary commitment.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at non-profit organizations, associations, initiatives, and public institutions in Bavaria that voluntarily engage in the fields of safety and social cohesion. This includes municipalities, schools, kindergartens, traffic safety councils, NGOs, fire departments, research institutions, as well as individual committed actors who wish to implement sustainable and innovative projects.
