Description

The Versicherungskammer Foundation supports charitable projects in Bavaria and the Palatinate in accordance with § 52 AO, which are engaged in the fields of life-saving, accident prevention, crime prevention, public transport safety, fire brigades, fire protection and fire safety education, traffic safety, alcohol prevention among youth, youth education, volunteer work, training and further education, networking projects, as well as social innovations. Funding is provided to tax-privileged corporations, institutions, and foundations, as well as legally independent entities and suitable public authorities whose projects are carried out within the business area of Versicherungskammer Bayern. The foundation places special emphasis on conceptual consistency, innovation content, and compliance with the funding guidelines, and seeks to sustainably strengthen social cohesion and voluntary engagement. Long-term funding is only possible in exceptional cases.

Eligible applicants may submit an informal initial inquiry at any time via email. This should be contained in a document of no more than four pages and include the project idea, financing plan, and relevant tables or graphics. Upon receipt, a confirmation will be sent, and within up to eight weeks information on the next steps will be provided: either an invitation to submit a formal application with the application form or a reasoned rejection letter. The decisive criteria for selection are non-profit status, financial plausibility, and strategic alignment. A copy of the current corporate tax exemption certificate must be attached as proof. Through the ongoing application process, potential initiators can submit their projects flexibly and benefit from the foundation’s expertise to realize projects with model character and high social value.
