VGH Stiftung
About the funder
The VGH Foundation was established in 2000 on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the Landschaftliche Brandkasse, the sponsor of VGH Versicherungen, as a private foundation under civil law. Its central concern is to enable as many people as possible to participate in culture. Within its funding areas of cultural education, literature, monument preservation, and science, the foundation supports non-profit projects within the business area of VGH Versicherungen in Lower Saxony and Bremen. A focus lies on conveying cultural content using contemporary, especially digital, technologies to strengthen media literacy. Charitable approaches are given special consideration. The VGH Foundation supports projects with nationwide impact, strengthens regional characteristics, promotes cooperation among cultural institutions, and initiates its own initiatives in collaboration with partners.
