About the funder
The non-profit Vogelsang Foundation is a private foundation under civil law based in Datteln, founded in September 2010 by Haus Vogelsang GmbH. It is dedicated to the preservation, development, and promotion of the distinctiveness, diversity, and beauty of nature and landscape, as well as their sustainable usability. A key focus lies in the acquisition, maintenance, and monitoring of compensation and replacement areas within the framework of nature conservation intervention regulations. Furthermore, the foundation supports nature- and landscape-related art projects and conducts environmental education to raise awareness among children and young people for the protection of their environment.

Mission & Vision
The Vogelsang Foundation is committed to the long-term protection and sustainable development of the regional cultural landscape. It promotes habitat and species diversity as well as artistic engagement with and within nature. Through environmental education, it strengthens the awareness of future generations for a responsible approach to the natural environment.
Target groups
The funding and educational programs of the Vogelsang Stiftung are aimed at municipalities and companies wishing to provide compensation and replacement areas; nature conservation and environmental organizations as well as research institutions; schools, children’s and youth groups interested in extracurricular environmental education; and artists and cultural practitioners with project ideas in the nature and landscape context.
