About the funder
The Volksbank BRAWO Foundation is a legally recognized foundation under civil law based in Braunschweig. It was established in 2005 by Volksbank BRAWO eG and, with an endowment of 30 million euros, is the largest single foundation of a cooperative bank in Germany. Its primary focus is the support of children and youth in the Volksbank BRAWO business area. Since its founding, it has supported over 568 projects, reaching more than 76,680 children and young people. Well-known programs include: United Kids Foundations, LupoLeo Award, Sport-Oskar, RTL Children's Homes.

Mission & Vision
We aim to give people, especially children and young people, hope and show them pathways. The foundation is committed to the sustainable support of social, charitable, scientific, and cultural projects in the BRAWO region – with a special focus on children and young people in disadvantaged circumstances.
Target groups
Projects benefiting children and young people in the regions of Braunschweig, Gifhorn, Peine, Salzgitter, and Wolfsburg (business area of Volksbank BRAWO eG) are supported. Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations as well as natural and legal persons based in the funding area who can demonstrably pursue charitable purposes and contribute an appropriate own share.
