VR-Bank-Stiftung, Aalen

The VR-Bank Foundation, Aalen was established in 1993 by the then VR-Bank Aalen on the occasion of its 125th anniversary as a foundation under civil law. It pursues exclusively charitable and benevolent purposes and supports with its proceeds cultural and sporting activities, youth and senior projects, environmental protection, social tasks, education, international understanding, as well as civic engagement in the Ostalb region. Decisions on the allocation of foundation funds are made once a year by a board and an advisory council composed of personalities from business, sports, and culture.

The VR-Bank Foundation, Aalen sees itself as a driving force for the sustainable development of its home region. Through the distribution of the foundation’s proceeds, it supports areas that go beyond regular banking business – culture, sports, education, and social affairs. With its selflessness and focus on charitable purposes, it aims to take responsibility, strengthen civic engagement, and contribute to improving the quality of life in the Ostalb region.

Supported are clubs, institutions, and initiatives from the Ostalb district that implement projects in the areas of culture, sports, youth and senior work, environmental and nature conservation, social assistance services, education, and international understanding. In addition, private individuals and non-profit organizations can make endowments or establish their own funds to support specific local initiatives.
