Waldoni Kinder- und Jugendstiftung
About the funder
The Waldoni Children and Youth Foundation was established in 2006 by the Circus Project Waldoni to finance socially oriented circus projects that would hardly be possible through public funds, parental contributions, and donations alone. It annually supports projects for drug and violence prevention, weekly play circus sessions for kindergarten children, support for secondary school graduation in cooperation with special schools, sculpture workshops, and domestic skills qualification programs. Through donations and endowments, the foundation contributes to opening up new perspectives for disadvantaged children and young people.

Mission & Vision
The mission of the Waldoni Children and Youth Foundation is to use the integrative power of circus education to provide children and young people from socially disadvantaged and underprivileged backgrounds with a sense of community, self-confidence, and educational opportunities, as well as to sustainably strengthen drug and violence prevention. We are committed to ensuring that all young people, regardless of their background or economic situation, have a good start in life.
Target groups
Children and young people from socially disadvantaged neighborhoods with a high need for support are funded, including children from families with limited resources and multicultural backgrounds. This includes daycare children participating weekly in the play circus, special education students aiming for a secondary school diploma, as well as young people involved in projects for drug and violence prevention and in craft-artistic programs such as the sculpture workshop.
