Wandervogel-Stiftung

The Wandervogel Foundation is a legally recognized, non-profit foundation under civil law with the purpose of supporting young people both ideologically and financially. It draws on the tradition of the German youth movement ("Wandervogel") and particularly supports youth groups and individuals through grants for trips, projects, music and art promotion, as well as the provision of youth spaces and wilderness camping sites. All committee work is carried out on a voluntary basis, ensuring that all proceeds directly benefit youth work.

The Wandervogel Foundation is committed to enabling young people to continue the ideas of the historic youth movement in a contemporary manner. The focus is on holistic personal development through nature and self-experience, communal activities, artistic and craft pursuits, as well as self-responsible adventures. The foundation creates spaces and provides financial support so that young people can consciously and autonomously shape this phase of their lives.

The funding opportunities are aimed at youth groups (particularly Bündisch and Wandervogel groups) and individual young people from all social backgrounds, especially those in need. Projects, trips, and activities that promote personal development, experiences in nature and culture, artistic expression, and the support of boys are funded. The foundation supports both organized groups and individuals who wish to experience new freedoms within the community.
