Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Stiftung

The Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation is a legally capable, non-profit foundation under civil law based in Herdecke, which has served a variety of funding areas since its recognition by the Arnsberg District Government on May 15, 1988. It supports projects in the fields of music (including classical scholarships and jazz competitions), art and culture, science (e.g., health and medical research, university collaborations such as WittenLab.Future Laboratory), monument preservation, sports, education, international understanding, as well as social support measures. In addition, it operates the concert hall “Werner Richard Hall” and the Dr. Carl Dörken Gallery as learning and event venues.

The Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation supports sustainable and innovative initiatives that strengthen cultural diversity, scientific reflection, and social cohesion. Its goal is to provide a platform for talents and initiatives that make a significant contribution to the community through financial and ideological support of projects.

Eligible for funding are non-profit institutions, universities, and research organizations, as well as individuals and groups active in the areas of music, art and culture, science, monument preservation, sports, education, international understanding, and social concerns. The foundation addresses professional cultural practitioners, early-career researchers, students, volunteers, and social organizations in North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond.
